Costa Rica vs. Brazil: which coffee suits you?
Two countries, two completely different coffee experiences. But which one is right for you? We compare our Costa Rica and Brasil Verde.
Costa Rica – fresh and bright
Our Costa Rica comes from the Los Santos region, known for its high altitude and fertile volcanic soil. The beans are washed and processed, resulting in a bright, clean taste. Expect vibrant notes of lemon and orange, with a refreshing acidity that will wake you up.
Perfect for: filter coffee, pour-over, Aeropress.
Character: fresh, bright, fruity.
Brazil – full-bodied and smooth
Our Brasil Verde comes from the state of Paraná and is processed using the natural honey method. The beans dry in the sun with some of the fruit pulp still attached — this creates a full, smooth taste with notes of chocolate and nuts. No sharp acidity, but plenty of body.
Perfect for: espresso, cappuccino, French press.
Character: full-bodied, smooth, nutty.
How to choose?
Do you drink your coffee black and prefer a lively, fresh taste? Go for the Costa Rica. Do you prefer espresso or coffee with milk, and want a round, full-bodied base? Then the Brasil Verde is your match.
